d16(PC)

Program

Counter

\lwith Displacement

This addressing mode requires one word of extension. The
operand is in a memory location computed by adding a 16-bit
displacement to the current value of the program counter.
Note that there are two forms: explicit and implied. If an
addressing mode consists of a mathematical expression which
contains a relative label (i.e. a procedure or function name
or a local label) the assembler assumes that a PC-relative
mode is desired. If this is not the case, adding a Ò.WÓ or Ò.LÓ
extension will force it to use an absolute address.
