Version 2.0b19 ============== November 4, 1994. Bad Error in "Extract Binaries Manually" Command Fixed ------------------------------------------------------ There was a bad error in the "Extract Binaries Manually" command. On PowerMacs, the displayed subjects in the dialog were garbage. Fixed. This error is the reason I'm releasing this new version 2.0b19 with so few other changes. Sorry about this. It was a stupid programming mistake. Use Command Key to Open URLs! ----------------------------- I have changed the way you open URLs in NewsWatcher. Starting with this version 2.0b19, use the Command key when you click instead of the Option key. I made this change after talking to Steve Dorner, who is implementing a similar feature to open URLs in Eudora. Steve wants to use the Command key in Eudora, and he has some good reasons why he wants to use the Command key and not the Option key. So I agreed to change to Command in NewsWatcher so that our programs will work the same way. (Steve told me it was OK to let you all know that he's working on this, so you wouldn't flame me for being capricious :-) If you option-click a URL in the new version, NewsWatcher presents an alert reminding you that we have changed to command-click. Other Errors Fixed ------------------ The "Save" command in the "File" menu is now enabled and disabled properly. It is disabled if the active user group list or message window has already been saved and you haven't made any changes to the window.
